Master the skills you need to sew the perfect shirt in this one day workshop. Make the Presley Shirt under the expert guidance of Sharlene, a classic button up shirt with collar, bias bound sleeve placket and cuffs.
Key Skills -
- How to choose your size,
- How to apply interfacing,
- Easing in a collar,
- Bias Bound Placket,
- Slip stitching,
- Setting in sleeves,
- Sewing buttons and buttonholes.
You will need to bring your sewing machine, tools (i.e scissors, pins, etc.), suitable fabric, thread, buttons and lunch.
The interfacing, pattern and instructions will be provided, along with tea/coffee and snacks.
If you cannot source your own fabric please get in touch and we can supply this for you for an extra charge.
Suitable fabrics - lightweight cotton (lawn or poplin) is most suitable, viscose, modal, tencel, cupro and linen will also work. Fabrics under 200gsm are suitable.
Level - Adventurous Beginners. You will need to be confident making a variety of simple dressmaking projects.
Dates - Saturday 13th June 2026
Time- 10am-6pm
Location - Dan Rice Hall, Drumaness
Price - £160 in total, £50 deposit required initially with remaining balance paid prior to the workshop (this can be paid in installments).
*Please note depending on how quickly the class progresses you may have some steps to finish working on at home.
